About BodyTimeline
BodyTimeline turns one photograph into a projection of the same person carrying less weight. It is built and run by its founder, Jake Hogan.
Most tools in this category say as little as possible about how they work. This page is the opposite, because the honest version is more interesting than the pitch.

What the product actually does
You upload one photo. It goes to an OpenAI image model with a prompt describing a lower body fat version of the same person, and a new image comes back. You see a free preview, and the full set behind a one time unlock covers a 90 day horizon at several points, alongside a plan.
The important technical detail, and the one that explains most of what goes wrong with AI photo products generally: the model does not edit your photograph, it repaints it. The output is a fresh generation conditioned on your image, not a diff against it. That is why details drift, why backgrounds shift, and why two runs on the same photo are never identical. It is a property of the technology, not a bug we have not got around to fixing yet.
What we will not claim
It is not medical advice. BodyTimeline is a consumer technology product, not a medical service. If a question involves medication, a health condition or a history of disordered eating, that belongs with a doctor, and we will say so rather than answer around it.
The renders are not predictions. They are directionally accurate, specifically unreliable and systematically flattering. Image models are trained toward pleasing outputs, so they render the best case: even fat loss, no loose skin, decent tone underneath. Read a render as the upper end of the range, not the middle. We wrote that out properly in are weight loss simulators accurate.
We are not the best tool for everyone. Our comparison of thirteen tools recommends competitors by name where they genuinely win, including free ones.
Your photo
Source photos are masked for privacy, are never used to train models, are never sold, and are deleted automatically: as soon as your results finish generating if you purchase, within 30 days if you do not. No biometric identifiers are extracted, and session replay tooling is configured to mask every photo and result image on the page.
The full detail, including every processor that touches your data, is in the privacy policy.
For journalists
Jake Hogan is available for comment, on the record, on the technology and consumer-behaviour side of AI body prediction: how these products are built and tuned, what an image model can and cannot infer from a photograph, why AI imagery across every category drifts toward the same flattering gloss, and the consumer-trust problem that creates for anyone shipping generated images of real people.
We stay in that lane, we decline medical and nutritional questions, and we say plainly where a competitor does something better. Reach us at hello@bodytimeline.com. Replies usually come the same day.

Questions, answered
Who is behind BodyTimeline?
BodyTimeline is built and run by its founder, Jake Hogan, who leads the product and writes the code. Press and partnership mail goes to hello@bodytimeline.com and reaches him directly, usually answered the same day.
Is BodyTimeline medical advice?
No. BodyTimeline is a consumer technology product, not a medical service. Nothing on the site is medical, nutritional or psychological advice, and the renders are projections generated by an image model rather than predictions validated against clinical outcomes. For anything involving medication, an eating disorder history or a health condition, the right person to ask is a doctor.
How does BodyTimeline generate its images?
You upload one photograph. It is sent to OpenAI's image models with a prompt describing a lower body fat version of the same person, and the result comes back as a new image. It is important to understand that the model does not edit your photo, it repaints it, conditioned on your photo. Source photos are masked for privacy and deleted on the schedule set out in the privacy policy.
How accurate are the renders?
Directionally accurate, specifically unreliable and systematically flattering. The physiology is broadly right, because the training data contains an enormous number of real before-and-after photographs. The specifics are guesses: the model cannot know the order your body sheds fat, how your skin will respond, or your timeline. We wrote this out at length rather than burying it.
Can a journalist quote BodyTimeline?
Yes, on the technology and consumer-behaviour side of AI body prediction: how generative image products are built and tuned, why AI imagery drifts toward the same flattering gloss, and the consumer-trust problems that creates. We stay in that lane and decline medical and nutritional questions rather than answering around them. Email hello@bodytimeline.com.
